Description
Lord® 660 acrylic adhesive bonds FRP (fiber reinforced plastics) with minimal surface
preparation. Lord 660 can cross-bond FRP to many metals. This adhesive is specifically
formulated to provide the highest impact and peel strengths available in a room
temperature curing adhesive.
Features and Benefits
Excellent Environmental Resistance - Lord 660 resists dilute acids, alkalis, solvents, greases, oils, moisture, and weathering. The adhesive performs well at temperatures 5 F to 190 F (-21 C to 80 C) and provides excellent UV exposure resistance.
Non-Sag - Lord 660 adhesive is non-sag when applied on vertical surfaces.
Bonding Versatility - bonds difficult to bond plastics such as FRP, SMC, polycarbonate and XENOY®. Also bonds glass, and metals.
Surface Preparation
Surfaces should be free of grease and loose contamination. Some surfaces may require
abrading for optimum performance.
Mixing - Mix Lord 660 A resin with the proper amount of Lord 660 B accelerator (curative). The adhesives may be hand mixed, cartridge dispensed, or applied with automatic meter/mix/dispense equipment.
Application - Apply Lord 660 A/B using automatic meter/mix/dispense equipment. Apply the adhesive to substrates and join.
Curing - Lord 660 A/B acrylic adhesive cures at room temperature. The cure will begin immediately upon mixing. The adhesive will cure to a tack-free surface in approximately 20-40 minutes. Handling will develop in 2 hours.
