Formulas for the Sealant Coverage

The following formulas can be used to determine theoretical usage, coverage, and cost. Actual value must take into account the realities of size irregularities and material waste in each application. Definition of terms Gal = number of gallons of coating used or required. Area = total application area in sq. ft. DFT = dry average thickness in mils (1/1000 in.) of area coated. % Solids = volume solids (see Technical Data Sheet).
